Based on our separation of molecular species and quantum states, including the spatial separation of para and ortho water [1], we have been exploring the properties of these well defined fleeting species. Our investigations range from theoretical considerations of fundamental nuclear-spin symmetry properties [2] to specific chemical reactions, cf. [3], also to unravel the astrochemical details of these distinct molecules.
