Polymer metal-organic cage (polyMOC) gels are polymer networks with well-defined, supramolecular junctions formed from multiple metal ions (M) and ligands (L). Previous work has shown that these networks behave like different classes of materials based on junction architecture: polymers connected using M12L24 MOC junctions form more robust networks with higher branch functionality and network defect tolerance compared to gels with M2L4 MOC junctions. In this work, we have modified an existing M6L12 coordination cube to form a new type of polyMOC gel with anticipated rheological properties and loop defect density intermediate to those of previously studied systems.
