<br/>Green chemistry in practice results in economic, environmental, human health and performance benefits when implemented effectively in industry. Because of the numerous benefits, chemical companies and nationally recognized brands are supporting green chemistry education for healthy communities and to provide the next generation of scientists the proper tools to design products that have reduced hazards. These 21st century skills enable scientists to support a growing greener chemicals market and better prepare community members to choose greener alternatives. This presentation will outline approaches for adopting green chemistry in K-12 through higher education programs through partnerships with industry leaders, including Target, Steelcase and Millipore Sigma. Beyond Benign is a non-profit organization that empowers educators, students and the community to practice sustainability through chemistry. As a non-profit, the organization has the opportunity to partner with organizations across sectors to advance the adoption of green chemistry in K-12 through higher education. Case studies will be presented that demonstrate successful partnerships that result in the delivery of high quality green chemistry educational services in support of educators and students.
