Research-Based Learning proposed by Ernest Boyer helps students develop their own learning strategies and allow them to do research under the guidance of a researcher. A proficiency test protocol was prepared for calibration of a 100 mL volumetric flask following similar protocols issued by the Metrology Unit and the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA). Several laboratories were invited to perform tests of a volumetric material at the environmental conditions described in the protocol. Information was then processed and comparisons were made between the participating laboratories.
