Paper-based fluidic devices, also known as microPADS (microfluidic Paper-based Analytical Devices), serve as a promising platform for the development of point-of-care sensors for use in remote, resource-limited settings. This talk will describe our recent work developing technologies for fabricating higher-resolution paper-based microfluidic devices, for stabilizing reagents for use with paper-based devices, and for controlling capillary wicking in paper-based devices to enable more sophisticated, multi-step assays with minimal user input.<br/>
