The Thermodynamics Research Center transforms experimental thermophysical and thermochemical information from the scientific literature into a digital, expert system that supplies critically evaluated data. We will present the overall flow of information into TRC databases and back out to stakeholders in academia, industry, and the government. We first describe the transition from guided data-capture to the database as mediated by our thermodynamics object system, which provides file format format transformations and informational integrity checks. We then describe how the data is disseminated over the world wide web using JSON and ThermoML (an XML, IUPAC standard for exchange of experimental thermophysical and thermochemical data).
