Liquid-liquid (LL) extraction requires the ability to effectively separate liquid phases. On earth, this is typically achieved exploiting differences in density, in space other approaches have to be sougth. Zaiput LL separators leverage differences in wetting properties of fluids to achieve LL separation and hence offer the potential of a technological solution to effective and continuous separation in a gravity free environment. In this talk, we report our experiments on LL separation carried out on the International Space Station. We’ll provide background, rational, discuss the experimental setup and the results.<br/>
