Molecules containing a 1<i>H</i>-1,2,3-triazole ring have been associated with a wide range of important inhibitory properties of biological processes. An array of 1,4-disubstituted 1<i>H</i>-1,2,3-triazoles was synthesized using a common aryl-substituted pyridine core to investigate the effects of functional groups on the biological activity of the triazole containing fluorinated pyridines. Additionally, nucleophiles such as piperidine and morpholine were substituted at C-2 of the pyridines to determine their effects on the biological activity of the molecules. All compounds were characterized using spectroscopic methods.
