The present work describes the synthesis of new phenoxypyrazole-based N^O^N-type bis-pyrazole ligands and their potential as ligands in Pd-catalysed Suzuki cross-coupling of aryl halides with aryl boronic acids. This new family of ligands (2a-3d) were synthesized by a modified simple and single step Ullmann coupling protocol, using relatively low catalyst loadings. All the ligands were effective in catalysing the Suzuki cross coupling reaction, except 2a. A simple catalytic system based on Pd(OAc)2/3a or 3c, provided the substituted biphenyls with yields ranging from good to excellent.
