In this talk I will discuss our recent results on elucidating double-layer effects in electrocatalysis. Topics of interest include double-layer effects on CO adsorption and oxidation on a Pt(111) electrode, interfacial field effects in hydrogen evolution, and cation effects in CO2 reduction.
