Compound B, a novel tris-indolyl iron-chelating compound, was tested by the National Cancer Institute’s Developmental Therapeutics Program and shown to have anticancer activity.  Building upon these findings, Compound B was synthesized in our lab and further testing was done. MTS assays and flow cytometry studies were used to measure Compound B’s effect on the viability of PC3 cells at varying concentrations. Results showed that PC3 cells exposed to Compound B at a 68 μM concentration showed a 40% decrease in viability. Additional results will also be provided.<br/>
