Integrated teaching strategies have been incorporated in the environmental chemistry curriculum at California University of Pennsylvania to improve student learning. In this curriculum, students are learning the course materials through an integration of relevant scientific literature, hands-on experiments, multimedia presentation, and group projects. Upon completion of learning, students are able to describe / explain the scientific questions, synthesize the findings, and relate to real-world research.  Example models include particulate air pollution, acid mine drainage, pesticides exposure and measurements, drinking water sanitary and testing methods, and various industrial waste water treatments, etc.. The research-based approach that I had learned from cCWCs Environmental Chemistry Workshop in 2015 played an essential role in the curriculum development. The integrated teaching strategies have enhanced students’ critical thinking skills and research skills in general.<br/>
