The ultimate goal in cancer diagnosis and therapy is to accomplish specific targeting to cancer cells. Nowadays, biomimetic nanoengineering through consolidated biologically derived membrane systems is one of the most promising directions for the actualization of personalized therapy. To address the technical hurdles in cancer therapy and diagnosis, the membrane coating strategy can achieve a superior specific targeting to cancer cells. Here, we are modifying our reported system Crispr/Cas9 encapsulated by nanoscale zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIFs) through coating with various cancer cell membranes to “camouflage it” in order to achieve specific targeting to the source cancer cell lines and improve the gene editing technology.
