The electrochemical conversion of CO2 provides a platform for utilizing inexpensive renewable electricity to convert waste greenhouse gasses into products of value. CO2 electrolyzer technologies are, however, at a very early stage of development. This presentation will outline our development of gas and liquid phase flow cells (i.e, lab scale pilot cells) that show how CO2 can be converted into products at the high current densities needed for the commercialization of viable carbon capture and storage technologies.
