Allyl- and allenylboronic acids are more reactive reagents than the corresponding boronic acid esters, such as pinacolboronate (Bpin) derivatives. The presentation includes palladium and copper catalyzed methods for synthesis of these species. In addition, application of these reagents in rhodium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions with diazo compounds, as well as in asymmetric allyl- and propargylboration of ketones and imines will be presented.<br/>
