The search for novel compounds that display antimicrobial properties is an active area of research for their possible application in medicine. Endophytes are a potential target for these novel compounds due to their natural ability to protect host plants from pathogens. In this study, secondary metabolites from endophytes found within the cultivar species Populus nigra were separated and analyzed using bioassays, HPLC, and GC-MS.
