This talk will discuss two complementary efforts to develop large-scale processes for CO2 capture using metal-organic frameworks. First, progress on using MOF-loaded fiber sorbents in a subambient temperature PSA process suitable for capturing CO2 from flue gas will be discussed. Monolith-supported MOFs for use in direct air capture (DAC) of CO2 will be described. In both topics, the necessity of combining materials discovery with process modeling and innovations in process configuration and operation will be emphasized.
