Through Palladium-catalyzed Deprotonative Cross-Coupling Process (DCCP), a series of bulky ligands based on 2,2’-bipydridine and pyridine-oxazoline were designed and synthesized with high yields (30 examples, up to 98%). Catalytic studying using the synthesized bulky ligands showed that the bulkiness of the ligand increased the reactivity of the ligands toward the di-functionalization of alkenes. Such reactivity improvement is probably due to the fact that the bulky groups weakened the Pd-N<sub>pyridine</sub> coordination bond, which made the palladium center more electrophilic toward coordination of alkene and further functionalization.<br/>
