Conjugated polymers have shown a high electrical conductivity and unique photothermal properties upon exposure to NIR light. The best combination of those two properties could provide a light emitting device with a photosensitivity and active response to an external stimuli. In particular, we have explored photothermal controllability of light emission from an AC driven light emitting device (LED) made of a conjugated polymer electrode as a photothermal electrode, emitting layer, and transparent conductive electrode. As an emitting layer, doped ZnS/polymer composite films were prepared through solution casting method. The photothermal electrode in the LED device showed high conductivity of &gt;1300 S/cm and large temperature rise to 100 <sup>o</sup>C upon NIR exposure. In addition, the interface between the photothermal electrode and the emitting layer was well adhered to lit the LED in a high brightness. Owing to the high sensitivity to NIR light, the photothermal LED device showed wavelength tunability from 450 (blue) to 500 (green) emission when irradiated with a NIR light. Further optimization of the sensitivity to NIR light and polarization properties with the photothermal LED device will be discussed.
