The purpose of this study was to examine the content of organic chemistry textbooks and laboratory manual for coverage of green chemistry concepts. Green chemistry and sustainability have become increasingly important topics for chemistry education. In the recent years, multiple initiatives were launched to increase emphasis on green chemistry in undergraduate curriculum. However, the efforts to develop auxiliary materials to fully integrate green chemistry material in organic chemistry course are fragmented and unstructured. Textbooks and available instructional materials play a significant role in curriculum design that guides and supports teaching and learning. Thus, the availability of curriculum materials affects to what extent green chemistry concepts are implemented into the current teaching practices.<br/>Major green chemistry topics were identified from content analysis of organic chemistry textbooks. Analysis of laboratory manuals revealed laboratory relevant green chemistry concepts and learning objectives that relate to green chemistry.
