Distillation as a refinement technique in the manufacture of cannabis oil has become commonplace in recent years. Some of the most popular consumer cannabis products--including many edibles and vaporizer pens--are made using distilled cannabis oil. Distillation techniques are used to increase purity of the oil and to remove natural pigments and flavor. While techniques vary, they often involve elevated temperature and reduced atmosphere, leading to pyrolysis and the formation of novel THC isomers. Here, we discuss the identification and quantification of these previously undescribed constituents of popular cannabis products.<br/>
