Polyamide-12 reinforced with carbon black was sintered via Large Area Projection Laser sintering (LAPS) at various time and temperatures. The physical, chemical, mechanical and thermal properties of Nylon-12 before and after sintering at various time and temperatures were monitored by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Powder diffraction spectroscopy (PXRD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Microhardness testing. A comparative study among samples sintered by LAPS at various time and temperature was done in this study. The X-ray diffraction patterns yielded information about the types of crystal structure in nylon-12 cured at various time and temperature. DSC results showed the influence of time and temperature on the melting enthalpy, crystalline content, crystallization temperature and thermal stability of Nylon-12. FTIR represents the effect of higher temperatures on hydrogen bonding present in Nylon-12.
