In this program, students in Organic Chemistry Labs have access to many of the exceptional benefits of doing research that have traditionally been limited to those students who are lucky enough to be involved in independent research. We are getting students into research at an early stage in their degree when most believe they don’t yet have the ability to participate in research. Our project involves synthetic method optimization with reaction monitoring and analysis by GCMS, and synthesis of compounds for biological testing against breast cancer in collaboration with students in the Cell Biology Lab course. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, especially in terms of student self-efficacy. The projects, methods of implementation, and results of student surveys will be presented.  <br/>
