This presentation describes a new laboratory experiment for use in introductory, nanotechnology courses.  This experiment allows students to fabricate metallic micro-/nanowires in the capillaries of a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) stamps modified with hydrophilic polymers.  This research project provides students with an opportunity to explore template-assisted electrodeposition of nanomaterials utilizing a reusable polymeric template instead of the commonly-used, porous, anodic alumina oxide (AAO) membrane.  Fabrication of metal wires is accomplished via the reduction of metal cations in the channels of modified PDMS stamps.  In addition, this laboratory experiment introduces students to various characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy.  The nanostructures fabricated in this experiment possess lateral dimensions large enough to allow imaging with optical microscopy for institutions with limited access to characterization equipment.<br/>
