Amide ligands connected to the surface of a redox-noninnocent inorganic cluster are used to chelate middle to late transition metals. Complexes of iron, cobalt and copper show diverse metal-ligand coupling as determined by their solid-state structure, electrochemical and magnetic behavior. The synthesis and characterization (including X-ray diffraction, magnetic moment, electrochemical behavior and optoelectronic properties) of this new family of complexes as well as reactivity studies including C-H amination chemistry will be discussed.<br/>
