We will review our applications of theoretical chemical kinetics to the exploration of chemistry in various planetary atmospheres. These applications employ a combination of high level electronic structure theory, sophisticiated implementations of transition state theory, and the master equation to obtain high accuracy predictions of the thermal kinetics. The applications range from studies of the coupled nitrogen and hydrocarbon chemistry of Titan’s atmosphere, to the sulfur chemistry of Venus, and to the coupled nitrogen and phosphorous tropospheric photochemistry of Jupiter and Saturn.<br/>
