In this paper, we report on the direct mechanochemical synthesis of the piezoelectric β-phase of PVDF from the commercial PVDF mixture by high-energy ball-milling dry process. The obtained product was characterized by micro-Raman, XRD and SEM measurements. The systematic evaluation of ball-milling parameters, such as rotation speed and process duration shed a light on the mechanism of the phase transformation reaction to be discussed at the conference.
