The Center for Chemistry at the Space Time Limit (CaSTL) is a multi-institutional, interdisciplinary NSF funded Center for Chemical Innovation dedicated to the integration of transformative research, innovation, education, and public outreach. Bond Breaker is a free puzzle game based on CaSTL science that is the most broadly supported and sustainable outreach effort in dissemination of Center science to the public. With a reach beyond 500,000 widespread plays, Bond Breaker simplifies center collaborative outreach by reducing activity preparation and face-time of researchers with maximum engagement. It also expands beyond traditional methods of engagement to extend learning at home or on the go with mobile accessibility. To increase use in formal classrooms with middle and high school science educators, we are developing Next Generation Science Standards curriculum to complement the game.
