Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) is an inherited disease causing blistering wounds and constant inflammation, which leads to the eventual development of an aggressive form of squamous cell carcinoma (RDEB SCC). The persistence of inflammatory chemokines such as MCP-1 and Il-8 in RDEB wounds may foster RDEB SCC carcinogenesis. Innovating new materials and formulations for wound dressings that promote scavenging and removal of chemokines from RDEB wounds has potential to reduce inflammation, reduce patient discomfort, slow the progression of RDEB SCC, and improve quality of life for RDEB patients. Herein, we demonstrate a fast and scalable synthesis of hydrophilic ternary composite nanofibers derived from natural feedstockscontaining pullulan, chondroitin sulfate, and tannic acid.  The fibers were uniform in size regardless of chondroitin sulfate content and absorb large volumes of water relative to their mass (∼500%). The fibers were found to remove ∼99% of MCP-1 from solution in &lt;2 h. Scavenged media mitigated RDEB SCC migration in culture demonstrating potential as RDEB wound dressings.<br/> <br/> <br/>
