The emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) originating and particulate matter (PM) from the combustion of fossil fuels in the industrial and automotive sources has given rise to a variety of environmental and health-related issues.It is extremely desirable to develop SCR and DPF catalysts with high catalytic activity. In this work, 3DOM layered double metal oxide (LDO) catalysts were prepared for improving the catalytic performances for the simultaneous purification of PM and NOx. The catalytic performances and physicochemical properties of these catalysts were investigated systematically. 3DOM layered double hydroxide (LDH) was synthesized via a fractional precipitation process, and 3DOM LDO were prepared by the process of calcine. The catalysts were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS), and Temperature- programmed reduction with H2 (H2-TPR). Among all the catalysts tested, 3DOM LDO Cu-3-Fe-1 catalyst exhibits the best maximum concentration of CO2 at 466 degree centigrade for PM combustion. Moreover, the catalyst gave a NH3-SCR performance with a temperature window of 200~350 degree centigrade for NO conversion above 50%.
