Abstract: Electrochemical reduction of CO2 was investigated in aqueous medium at a Re-COF film. The voltammetric reduction of Re-COF showed two waves at -0.35 V and - 0.70 vs Ag/AgCl respectively in the absence of CO2. The first reduction was triazine COF based whereas the second one was rhenium based. In the presence of CO2, the rotating ring voltammetry showed a wave corresponding to the CO2 reduction to CO and the wave was shifted to positive potential upon the increase of rotation rate. The production of CO was confirmed by gas chromatography. The production of CO increased as the concentration of sodium bicarbonate, which was used as supporting electrolyte, was increased. The order of the reaction was half order with respect to bicarbonate concentration. The chronoamperometry result showed that the Re-COF was stable during CO2 electroreduction.
