This project describes the investigation of the synthesis of oxazolines using a multi-step, single-pot process. This reaction uses triphenyl phosphine dibromide as the cyclodehydration reagent. Initial investigations will be presented, including the amide bond formation and cyclization of amides with pendant alcohols. Substituent effects are examined as well as the alcohol protecting groups.
