Through strong partnership, in silico ADME modelers and laboratory scientists can drive highly efficient and cost-effective assay screening funnels to support faster, cheaper, and stronger Discovery decision making. This synergistic collaboration between modelers and lab scientists enables a much stronger in silico ADME program. Gathering data to train models without a thorough understanding of the experimental data leads to models that are not fully embraced by the organization. A general overview of the ADME assays on which models are commonly built will be described with special attention given to cost, inherent caveats and variability and their use in multi-parametric optimization.
