Tip-enhanced Raman Scattering (TERS) can be used to image plasmon-enhanced local optical fields on the nanoscale. Using a strategic molecular reporter, 4-mercaptobenzonitrile, we image local optical fields sustained in the vicinity of silver nanowires, Au(111) inter-terrace steps, and monocrystalline gold microplates. Notably these measurements are performed under ambient laboratory conditions, whereby TERS images of both solid-air and solid-liquid interfaces track molecules and fields with few nm precision. Using some of these platforms we demonstrate plasmon-enhanced chemical reaction imaging at the solid-liquid interface with chemical selectivity, high sensitivity, and nanoscale precision. For our first of its kind proof-of-principle demonstration, we select a model plasmon-enhanced chemical process, namely, the dimerization of <i>p-</i>nitrothiophenol to dimercaptoazobenzene to distinguish between TERS and chemical reaction hot-spots.
