Heraeus Precious Metals is the world's largest provider of precious metal services including precious metal chemical product and supported catalyst manufacture, precious metal refining/recycling and trading services.<br/>Three brief case studies are presented here:<br/>1) the optimal formulation of a bimetallic (Rh/Pt) hydrosilylation catalyst that is tuned for peak performance in pressure sensitive adhesive technologies<br/>2) the catalytic activity of a well-known Pd catalyst for coupling reactions (Pd2(dba)3) is evaluated for performance in comparison with samples from other suppliers utilizing a standard Buchwald/Hartwig amination where due to process optimization our catalyst has less Pd(0) insolubles and therefore in this test case - better performance<br/>3) the process scale-up of a homogeneous organometallic Rh catalyst where yield improvement does not tell the whole story concerning profitability of manufacture.
