Metal halide perovskites exhibit unique optotronic properties for potential applications in energy conversion.  Compared to bulk, the advantages of using perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) are their tunable optical and electrical properties. However, the main disadvantage is limited PQD-PQD electronic coupling, especially when they are passivated with long saturated fatty acid and amine hydrocarbon chains, which greatly reduce the efficiency of a device, such as in a solar cell or LED. To solve this dilemma, we have used fully conjugated aromatic capping ligands as a platform to enhance charge transfer. In particular, the energy levels of the aromatic capping ligands can be modified with electron withdrawing or electron donating groups to match those with the PQDs. This is critical for highly effective charge transfer and transport.  These conjugated ligands can also be used in combination with saturated fatty acids to achieve both high stability and strong electronic coupling at the same time for the PQD solid films, which are promising for highly stable and efficient solar cell or LED devices.<br/>
