High resolution coherent multidimensional spectroscopy is a powerful tool that can be used to overcome difficulties encountered with other forms of spectroscopy. A 2D version has been developed that reduces congestion, produces characteristic 2D patterns, and automatically sorts peaks by quantum number and species. 3D versions further reduce and eliminate congestion, provide selectivity, and produce unique 3D patterns. This talk describes unique features and capabilities of various high resolution coherent 2D and 3D techniques that have recently been developed.
