All solid sate lithium batteries has attactred a substantial attention from both academic and industrial community primarily due to their potential advantage on the safety and volumetric energy density over the conventional lithium-ion batteries. However, the development of all solid state batteries is significantly hindered by the several tecnologicla barriers associated with the dificulty in implementing effective solid-solid interface. Among several explored candidates, Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) family electrolytes have been widely pursued for their relatively wider stable electrochemcial window. In this work, in situ high energy X-ray diffraction was deployed to inestigate the thermodynamics and kenitics of cubic/tetragonal phase transformation during the solid synthesis of LLZO.
