In this growing world, the global market demand for fuel has amplified significantly in the latest times and to fulfil the demand, conventional petroleum products are used in almost all fields. Overutilization of these products has and will inevitably result in the environmental and climatic pollution and degradation. These products are non-renewable resources and can be depleted over time. Therefore, the discovery of alternative fuel generation and production which is more sustainable, environmental-friendly, economical and easily available and shift of sources for the fulfilment of demand are required. The following study emphasis on biodiesel produced from different waste cooking oil consisting of sesame oil, palm oil, soybean oil, mustard oil and unknown oil collected from different sources such as restaurants, shops, household kitchen, shops selling fritters, etc. as the alternate fuel for diesel engine and focuses on the production and optimization of it through transesterification process. The feedstock taken were used in making dishes such as Puris, Pakoras, Chole bhature, chicken and fish and some of the feedstock have been used multiple times. For the optimization of produced biodiesel, the reaction time and temperature are kept constant at 45 minutes and 60<sup>o</sup>C and stirring speed at 300 to 400 rpm. The parameters to be determined are free fatty acid percentage, molar ratio of oil and methanol and its concentration, concentration of catalyst used and the yield of biodiesel produced. The viscosity, density, moisture content, ash content are analysed and compared for maximum optimization with minimum use of alcohol, time and catalyst. The study yielded biodiesel approximately 79% at time and temperature of 45 minutes and 60<sup>o</sup>C from different sources proving that production of biodiesel from waste cooking oil, a green alternate fuel, is more sustainable, environmental friendly, economical and easy to produce.
