We present an investigation of the cluster formation of magnetic ellipsoidal nanoparticles based on molecular dynamics computer simulations. We study cluster formation of magnetic particles due to the influence on the self-assembly (dipole-dipole moment of the particles) and the applied external magnetic field. We analyzed the orientations of the dipole inside each particle perpendicular to the main axis of rotation. Along with the macroscopic structural properties, we study the magnetic response of the particles. We observed that the magnetic particles' cluster size increases with increasing the dipole-dipole moment of the particle and external applied magnetic field. This property of magnetic particles has many advanced applications.
