Facile access to the designed chemical spaces with monomers containing specifically-substituted vectors and with bio-isosteres is key to drive drug discovery programs by testing design hypotheses quickly. As a part of TAOC award symposium 2020, I would like to present the synthetic efforts that I have been a part of to access novel chemical spaces: 1) access to pyroglutaminols and derivatives1 and 2) access to bis-substituted 3,3-oxetanes and other small rings2.
