A simplified surface tension measurement of the enriched plant saponin extracts dispersant formulations from roots of Balanite aegyptiaca, Securidaca lonpedunculata and commercial extracts of Quillaja saponin obtained, were determined using stalagmometric drop weight formation method. The enriched nonionic Saponin dispersant formulations exhibited effects of varied concentrations of the surface tension at water-air interface between 72 mN/m to 36.43 mN/m. The noticeable decreasing effects on surface tensions result of water until equilibrium concentrations for the respective saponin dispersant formulations HBAR, HSLR, HQER and HSQER attained respectively. The critical micelle concentration of the various saponin formulations studied deduced from the formulations graphs of HBAR, HSLR, HQER and HSQER established from the surface tension results. The characteristic emulsion index at 24 hours and the foam stability revealed competing effects of HBAR, HSLR, HQER and HSQER surfactant formulations having high stability of decay time at 1080 seconds, 960 seconds, 938 seconds and 840 seconds with corresponding foam heights at 8.20 cm, 7.80 cm, 7.50 cm and 7.60 cm accordingly. The adsorption isotherm for the surface tension were analyzed for the surface excesses per molecule using the Gibbs adsorption model at water-air interface over the various Saponin extracts dispersant formulations. The characteristics surface activity of the enriched plants Saponin extracts demonstrated proportional emulsifying properties as effective natural dispersant formulations for further applications. Automated tensiometric study of these natural surfactants extracts will be carried out for further methodological comparisons.
