From Planck’s theory, the radiation energy in frequency is expressed as a function of amplitude. The physical nature that the amplitudes can shatter and break the materials suggests that amplitudes are cumulated in quantity to vibrate to a fracture point. Similarly, the infrared radiation has a vibration mode between atoms. Hypothetically the mechanism of the chemical bond breaking can be described as a process forming a transition state of that cumulated amplitudes that causes the bond breaking. If the monochromatic infrared energy reaches the bond dissociation energy and, as an example, if a carbonium ion is readily formed, then the nucleophilic reaction will be faster. In chemical kinetics, the bond breaking can affects the rate. Similarly, the monochromatic infrared laser can have the same effects on the macromolecules. The hepatitis B virus has a positive serum (HBV) that showed a strong band observed at 1631 cm−1. Applying the monochromatic infrared laser it is expected to break the amide carbonyl bond and following a hydrolysis may restrain the virus. Notable study on SARS-CoV-2 virus showed a spectrum chart with amide bands approximately at 1540 and 1650 cm-1, since there is a trend that the normal amides are slightly higher in wavenumbers, a monochromatic infrared laser can distinguish the functional groups and as expected to remove the virus protein coat, the capsid. The cancerous tissue of esophagus versus the normal cell have amide bands wavelength 1645 cm-1 for the normal and 1643 cm-1 for the cancerous, also 1551 cm-1 for the normal and 1550 cm-1 for the cancerous. If the monochromatic infrared laser is set at the cancerous bands only, then the normal cell is anticipated being intact. It is reported that the accumulation of amyloid-β is found in Alzheimer disease, it is with anticipation that after applying the monochromatic laser to break bonds including amides in 1600 cm-1 and 1700 cm-1 the amyloid can be removed.
