Polyesters are typically synthesized via condensation polymerization or lactone ring-opening polymerization. There's a neat to develop alternative strategies to expand available feedstocks for polyesters. We are interested in developing strategies for incorporating CO and CO2 feedstocks into polyesters, and herein discuss our latest results in organometallic copolymerizations of alkenes, dienes, CO, and CO2 toward this goal.
