Coming from an economically disadvantaged background, Chui Yi (Cindy) Ho never thought that she would be able to learn from and work alongside real-life scientists on their research in a professional lab setting when she was a high school student. By taking part in Project SEED, she was introduced to the many possible careers in science and has gained countless skills and experiences that cannot be acquired from textbooks and regular classroom environments. From her two unforgettable summer internships at the USDA and her position as a Project SEED Cabin Leader, Cindy has grown to become a more independent and capable individual. Looking back, she is extremely grateful to have taken part in Project SEED and would love to share her sense of enthusiasm for science with others as well.
