Air pollution is one of the most important concerns not for just India but for the world too, as it has a direct impact on human health. In the case of developing countries like India, the situation becomes more critical. In most of India's metropolitan cities, especially the capitol, New Delhi, air quality is far below safety levels. Urbanization is highly unplanned which is a major cause of pollution, as it affects the environment negatively. The byproduct is an "environmental degradation". Directly or indirectly pollution is the major cause of many diseases, including cognitive-behavioral diseases. Cognitive health is a matter of concern as it is found that these days even small kids are facing challenges related to cognition. Studies say that kids and adults living in polluted cities are facing cognitive challenges more which can be an effect of pollution, and from the last decade there is much emerging evidence regarding the potentially harmful effects of air pollution on the central nervous system (CNS) so there can be a collective effect of air pollution on cognitive health.
