All-solid-state batteries (ASSB) still face numerous challenges before they can be used for high energy applications. Of primary concern is the interface between the solid electrolyte and metal lithium anode, as decomposition subspecies and parasitic dendrite formation prevents long-term stability and ultimately leads to cell failure. The argyrodite-class, halide-doped Li<sub>6</sub>PS<sub>5</sub>X (X = Cl, Br, I) has received much attention due to its impressive ionic conductivity, and it is considered a prime solid electrolyte candidate for use in ASSB’s. In this work, we report a liquid synthesis method to prepare halide doped Li argyroidtes with single or dual halogen ions to achieve precisely control on the compositions. In addition, the doping effects of halogen ions on the strutcural and conductive properties of new solid electrolytes are investigated and found the highest ionic conductivity of 0.35 mS cm-2 for halided-doped argyrodite from liquid synthesis approach. Enhanced interface stability against Li anode is observed for the argyrodites after halide doping.
