Through the reaction of zinc(II) salt and a novel di-anionic tetradentate ligand (ONSN), a dimeric complex was synthesized. Two zinc centers are connected by two oxygen bridges. This complex has shown potential in activation of HBpin and PhSiH<sub>3</sub>. Hence, catalytic activity of this complex has been studied in bifunctional Hydroboration and Hydrosilation of different substrates. In this presentation, addition to synthetic and characterization aspects of the dimeric zinc complex, a wide catalytic and comparative study is carried out on Hydroboration and Hydrosilylation of various substrates.
