The local damage to reinforced concrete structure subjected to missile impact is studied in this research to evaluate the influence on the buildings and equipment of nuclear facilities due to missile impact. Most of researches have been performed based on impact tests normal to target structures and up to now few impact tests oblique to target structures have been carried out. So far, we have confirmed the validity of the analysis method by comparing with previous results of normal impact test. By using the validated analytical method, the local damage of the reinforced concrete plate structure subjected to missile impact has been evaluated analytically by focusing on the collision angle. The purpose of this study is to validate the analysis method using the results of missile impact test carried out for various conditions including the collision angle. This paper describes the outline of the impact test related to the local damage of the reinforced concrete plate structure subjected to normal and oblique impacts. Since few impact tests oblique to target structures have been carried out, the design and manufacture of a support base of the target structure and how to measure reaction forces for an oblique impact test will be described.
