S. Korea government has announced a zero-energy house certification plan from year 2025 for new house construction market. Currently, most of new residential buildings must get energy efficiency certificates in design phase. However last 15-year effort for residential building energy efficiency result is not efficiently measured.  

HESS (Home Energy Standing Survey) has annually implemented by KEEI (Korea Energy Economy Institute) for publishing national statistics on household energy consumption since 2011. The survey is consisted with six major categories - general household information, building location, construction year, gross area, type and operation hours of appliances, monthly fuels and electricity consumption - with 149 detail questions.  Despite the detail survey, the annual report on the survey from KEEI is not enough to provide various stakeholder with detail information on how the supplied energy is consumed since they are focused on the supply side information. 

In this research, detailed energy consumption analysis with respect to various building and utilization factors are implemented by using R-script and HESS micro data from KESIS (Korea Energy Statistical Information System). All energy consumption data are normalized with gross area of each household to be compared the difference with respect to location, housing type, gross area, and construction year. Throughout this analysis, 2500 sample households are categorized into about 50 groups and they are defined as prototypical household by location, housing type, gross area, and construction year.

Supporting the need among researchers worldwide for additional online and multimedia content, ASME now offers the ASME Conference Video Collection. This platform will collect and provide long-term access to conference presentation videos, encompassing all technology areas within ASME's technical conference and events program. About 30,000-40,000 engineers across all mechanical engineering and related disciplines participate in ASME conferences each year. This includes authors of approximately 6,000 to 8,000 technical papers published by ASME, the majority of whom also submit video presentations for our virtual conferences. The video collection will be available as an add-on to existing product packages or as a separate subscription.
